Salam readers..

This blog is my personal collection of recipes.. I learnt cooking when i was about 13 or 14 yrs old from my lovely mummy.. I started with writing the recipes in a school notebook yg kotak2 utk maths tu.. I dont even remember where I put that book dah hehe.. Then I translated (eng > bm), typed, printed and filed them for easy reference for our house helpers.. This file has been in my mummy's kitchen for a longgggg time..

Now that I'm married, I've learnt some new recipes obtained from the internet, whc I tweaked to suit our tastebuds.. So kira internet recipes tu dah modified to our own liking la.. And of course I'm also learning new recipes from my MIL too.. Apart from my mum, my MIL and the Internet, I will also feature recipes sent by my friends here.. ^_^

Most of the recipes in this blog are very simple to cook, very suitable for us women who doesnt really have the luxury of time to cook an elaborated meal.. Sekali sekala ok la kan..

I hope you enjoy this blog as much as I enjoy sharing the recipes with you.. Happy trying! Happy cooking!

::sautéed chicken & mushroom with steamed asparagus, topped with black pepper sauce::

i bought the asparagus for awhile.. but havent got the time to use it yet.. i havent cooked for awhile hehe.. this dish can be done in 2 ways.. but i wanna make it easy for us, not too chef-y la kan.. cuma presentation wise, saje je buat konon2 cam professional hahaha.. tp tak menjadi sgt la..

ok enough rambling.. here's the recipe for 2 person:

{bahan2}

~main ingredient~
4 strips of chicken breast fillet, cut into bite sized pieces
1/2 of big onion, chopped
1 inch of ginger, sliced
1/2 bowl of sliced white mushroom, cleaned
2 handfuls of asparagus, cleaned

~herbs~
rosemary
black pepper
cayenne pepper
salt

~sauces~
black pepper sauce, thinned, 7-10 table spoons (up to u)
sweet soy sauce, 2 table spoons
oyster sauce, 2 table spoons

{cara2}

1) marinate the chicken with dashes of black pepper, cayenne pepper and rosemary..

2) in a pan, heat some oil (i used olive oil) and fry yr chicken and ginger slicces until it is a lil golden brown..

3) then add in yr chopped onions and sliced mushrooms.. stir them well until the onion is cooked..

4) then pour in all the sauces, stir well and let it simmer.. pls note that i didnt use any salt in this chicken dish as there is already enough salt for me.. but if tak cukup tambah je la ye.. ;)

5) while u wait for yr chicken to simmer, dont forget to steam the asparagus, and then toss them in a lil salt n pepper..

6) if u want to present it the way i did, place the asparagus at the bottom in any way u liked.. mine was 2 tiered.. saje je.. hehe.. then dish out the chicken n mushroom from the sauce and place them on the asparagus.. lastly, scoop out the sauce and pour them on top of the chicken and let them drizzle down onto the asparagus.. siap! hehee..

ok i mentioned there are 2 ways to cook it.. i did the very MALAS way of tossing the chicken n mushroom in the sauce.. if u want, once the onion is cooked, take them out of then pan and then simmer the sauce separately.. tu jer la.. hehehe..
