Salam readers..

This blog is my personal collection of recipes.. I learnt cooking when i was about 13 or 14 yrs old from my lovely mummy.. I started with writing the recipes in a school notebook yg kotak2 utk maths tu.. I dont even remember where I put that book dah hehe.. Then I translated (eng > bm), typed, printed and filed them for easy reference for our house helpers.. This file has been in my mummy's kitchen for a longgggg time..

Now that I'm married, I've learnt some new recipes obtained from the internet, whc I tweaked to suit our tastebuds.. So kira internet recipes tu dah modified to our own liking la.. And of course I'm also learning new recipes from my MIL too.. Apart from my mum, my MIL and the Internet, I will also feature recipes sent by my friends here.. ^_^

Most of the recipes in this blog are very simple to cook, very suitable for us women who doesnt really have the luxury of time to cook an elaborated meal.. Sekali sekala ok la kan..

::laksa penang::

my mum is baba nyonya penang.. so this laksa is nyonya recipe punyer.. bkn yg selalu pasar malam jual tu.. disclaimer dulu ya, kang korang masak pelik lak nape lain bonar ghupo eh.. hehehe.. 

{bahan2}

kuah laksa
~ ikan kembong
> rebus smpi masak, keluarkan dan buang kulit and tulang, hancurkan isi dan letak dlm bekas. simpan air rebusan ikan tu.
~ asam keping
~ daun kesum > 1 ikat
~ 3 kuntum bunga kantan > potong 4 (kalau tak suka tuk bhn hiasan, masukkan sekali dgn bhn utk blend)
~~ bhn2 blend :
> 2 btg serai
> 2cm lengkuas 
> 15 biji bwg merah
> 8 biji cili kering, dibuang biji
> 2 biji cili merah
> 1.5cm kunyit hidup
> 2cm belacan, bakar dulu

garnishings/bhn hiasan
~ timun > hiris nipis, panjang2
~ salad > hiris halus2
~ nenas > hiris mcm timun
~ cili merah > 2 biji hiris
~bawang besar > hiris bulat
~ daun pudina


{cara2 - kuah}

1) tapis air rebusan ikan dan didihkan semula atas api kecil bersama asam keping, bunga kantan dan daun kesum
2) di dlm periuk lain, tumis bahan2 yg telah diblend hingga wangi pastu masukkan dlm air rebusan
3) masukkan ikan, air asam jawa, garam dan gula. if u want, add in a lil bit of fish sauce
4) taste d level of sourness you want and add in more air asam jawa ikut selera masing2
5) bila da mendidih dan dah puas hati dgn rasa tu, tutup la api..

{cara2 makan}

dlm mangkuk, letak laksa dgn bahan2 hiasan dan masukkan kuah laksa dlm mangkuk tu.. utk lebih kick, mkn la dgn petis.. yummyyyyyyyy...
